Boone County IL Democratic Party (BCDCC) is
Offering Internship/Scholarships
The BCDCC is dedicated to improving our community by creating an environment of hope and
unity. We promise to work tirelessly to improve conditions in our community and affect positive
change in the world around us. We affirm the importance of working together to find
solutions. We believe in fairness for all. The BCDCC will not waver in the conviction to create a
better community for all citizens.
We are offering up to 5- $500 scholarships to any accredited trade school, college, or university.
Scholarships are offered on a staggered basis. Applications are accepted year round.
Requirements to Apply:
• Resident of Boone County. IL
• Be a high school junior, senior, or college freshman
• Have a letter of recommendation from a current or former teacher or counselor*
• Be a registered voter (age appropriate)
• Have strong written and/or verbal skills
In return for the scholarship we require 30 hours of service to the BCDCC.
Possible Duties:
• Shadow committee person or candidate
• Help with canvasing
• Prepare campaign materials for canvasing
• Work the Boone County Fair booth and other events
• Other assignments based on BCDCC needs/intern candidate’s unique skills

*For Summer of 2018 recipients: We will accept a copy of final grades in place of reference.
** Applicants whose Parents/Guardians are registered Democrats will be given preference.
